Read this <a href="http://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch06.html#network_nat" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">chapter</a> of the User Manual. Also, most likely, you want <a href="http://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch06.html#id403166" rel="nofollow">Bridged Networking</a> and not NAT with Port forwarding. With VirtualBox NAT, it doesn't care what your host network adapter is. Read this chapter of the User Manual. Also, most likely, you want Bridged Networking and not NAT with Port forwarding.
